Prashanta Pradhan, originally of Kathmandu, Nepal, has been promoted from Corporate One’s senior vice president of digital strategy to chief information officer. In his new capacity, Prashanta will participate in the strategic direction and planning of Corporate One and hold the overall responsibility for the organization’s technology group.
“Prashanta brings vast leadership experience and immense IT knowledge to his role,” said Corporate One President/CEO Melissa Ashley. “He has been an important member of our management team for several years, and I look forward to working with him in this new capacity as a member of my Enterprise Leadership Team.”
Prashanta joined Corporate One in 2012, as part of the merger with Southeast Corporate Federal Credit Union where he had worked since 2007. Prior to joining Corporate One, Prashanta worked for West Corporation, holding progressively advanced roles. He holds several certifications for both technical and leadership capabilities and has four patents in natural language speech recognition. He served on the Credit Union Financial eXchange (CUFX) Architect Committee from 2014 to 2019 and recently achieved the prestigious Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation through CUNA this year.
Prashanta attended the Dipendra Police School and the Modern Indian School in Kathmandu and said enrolling in his first computer programming class in Kathmandu allowed him to find his passion in the field. He moved to the United States in 1993 to attend the University of Nebraska where he obtained a degree in computer science and engineering.
“I am excited to bring my years of experience and knowledge to my new position,” said Prashanta. “Corporate One is a leader in the credit union industry and our advanced technology plays a vital role in the investment, funding, and payment solutions that we offer to our members.”
