As of September 12, FedACH^® Services will provide an additional ACH file delivery to all customers at 11:30 p.m. ET. (Monday - Friday). The new distribution will include any ACH transactions received/processed after the prior transmission deadline and by the new transmission deadline of 10:45 p.m. ET. The later delivery is intended to accelerate the delivery of ACH transactions to receiving depository financial institutions (RDFIs) who may wish to take advantage of the additional distribution. 

Though the new file delivery is optional, this enhancement will accelerate the delivery of some volume of ACH payments to RDFIs. RDFIs may want to process these files when received to better reflect customer account balances over a full-day cycle (or weekend). However, RDFIs are not required either by the Nacha Operating Rules or ACH Operator agreements or rules to do anything new and can continue to process the files the next morning prior to 8:30 a.m. ET settlement.
